Summary

Platform engineering tech lead with four years in DevOps and platform engineering. Largest contributor across a 600-repository infrastructure estate, owning the internal developer platform end to end: ~20 reusable GitLab CI components, 100+ Ansible roles, Terraform modules and containerised CI execution environments. I build the platform other engineers ship on, and the Claude Code agents that help them do it.

Experience

DevOps Tech Lead · Positive TechnologiesMay 2025 – present

Lead a team of 4 engineers on IaC architecture and drive AI adoption in DevOps workflows.

  • Designed and built a marketplace of Claude Code plugins for infrastructure work. Terraform module delivery went from weeks to days, Ansible roles from a week to a day.
  • Architected and launched a fully managed Kubernetes service on OpenStack.
  • Own deployment tooling for fast, predictable, zero-downtime releases under a "no manual toil" policy.
  • Hiring, onboarding and mentoring, with explicit limits on team cognitive load. Cross-team work organised with Team Topologies.

DevOps Engineer · Positive TechnologiesNov 2023 – May 2025

Built the organisation's IaC platform from scratch and moved corporate services from monoliths to Kubernetes.

  • Delivered a production-ready IaC platform within the probation period. It was adopted as the organisation's standard for service delivery.
  • Built a catalog of reusable GitLab CI components and standard execution environments for Terraform, OpenTofu and Ansible.
  • Integrated HashiCorp Vault for central secrets management with dynamic injection into CI, which removed hard-coded credentials.
  • Set up a private Terraform registry and Ansible roles and collections across AWS, OpenStack and VMware.
  • Ran the zero-downtime launch of a large, mission-critical DNS service on the new platform.

DevOps Team Lead · RusBITech-AstraApr 2023 – Oct 2023

Led and grew a unit of 8 engineers responsible for CI/CD, environments and infrastructure as code.

  • Migrated mission-critical SCM and messaging services from monoliths to highly available Kubernetes.
  • Built zero-downtime CI/CD pipelines and managed ephemeral and persistent staging, dev and stress environments.
  • Modernised infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible and Puppet. Set technical roadmaps and owned the full hiring lifecycle.

Senior DevOps Engineer · RusBITech-AstraApr 2022 – Apr 2023

Automated the product lifecycle and ran core engineering services.

  • Refactored 20+ legacy Ansible roles into modular collections.
  • Re-architected the corporate SSO (Keycloak) from a monolith into a highly available cloud-native service.
  • Designed and deployed a GitLab container service with fully automated configuration.
  • Built monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager. Migrated on-premises services to the cloud.

Before infrastructure 2009 – 2022

Product and project management, presales, five years in AML/CFT compliance, and two businesses of my own.
